🚢 Fresh Kosher Europe & Summer Sailings – We Need Your Input! 🚢
I know many of you have been hoping for news about Royal Caribbean and Princess options for Alaska, Europe, and the Caribbean, so I wanted to share what I know (and what I don’t know):
Princess – They are currently looking at Alaska dates, but nothing is finalized yet.
Royal Caribbean – Still no updates from them, but as far as I can tell their usual Oasis/Quantum ships they use for kosher aren’t scheduled in Europe this summer (and the one Odyssey option unfortunately isn’t Shabbos-friendly), so I’m not sure if there will be a Europe option 🤷‍♀️.
Norwegian – Since Royal’s Europe possibilities aren’t looking very promising right now, I’ve also been exploring Norwegian as a potential option. They don’t provide kosher in-house, so it would need to be arranged privately—which does mean higher costs (to pay for staff, rooms, flights, and dining space). They can’t offer their newest ships, but the itineraries are very appealing.
To see if a Norwegian option is realistic, we would need interest from at least 60 guests (and 100 would be the max). I’ve put together a survey with some conditionally approved sailings (and approximate rates) to help us gauge that.
Once we narrow things down to a single option, I’ll send a follow-up to confirm whether we have enough commitments to move forward and get official approval.
